A connoisseur of the sweet and enjoyable, Warren Photographic specializes in commercial shots of nature and animals. The British company boasts an extensive collection of printable images, and the nice creatures they capture are graceful in everything from pet care books and calendars to greeting cards and gifts. In addition to one-time shots and portraits of pets, they produce delightful and themed series, such as the playful name Identity Theft.
Literally understanding the idea of “furry friends,” Identity Theft offers pairs of pets that, despite their different biological affiliations, look surprisingly similar thanks to their coordinated coats. A kitten hangs out with a hedgehog, a guinea pig meets two ducklings, and a badger sniffs a border collie in the series, which is best described as an animal lover’s dream. While some objects seem ridiculously confusing and expected to be curious, many of them seem a little more comfortable with their new companion – some even cuddle!
Mark Taylor, the photographer who worked on the series, got an idea from his mother, whose inspiration was a Burmese kitten and a dwarf rabbit with two shoots.
